Overview

Scientists were able to find a link between the buildup of the protein B2M (B2-microglobulin) to a loss of cognitive function and neurogenesis. This could lead to the development of a new drug that blocks the buildup of this protein in the blood and, as a result, cures a form of dementia. This experiment set out to prove this link between the buildup of the B2M protein and a loss of cognitive function. Now you might be wondering, how did they do it?
